I asked a friend of mine in California what time it was there, he replied “09:46″. But in the UK, my watch was showing that it was 16:41. I asked where he got his time from, he said he didn’t know but that’s what his watch said so that’s what time it was for him. Which means a whole 5 minutes had been lost (obviously not counting the time difference!). Where did it go?
Most people nowadays tell the time by looking at their phones, so they have a more accurate approach to telling the time as it is regulated by the telephone networks which are standardised by the atomic clock (we hope). However, classic wrist watches do not have this luxury. And if you do not use any other form of telling the time, you are at risk of literally losing time throughout your life.
It makes you think doesn’t it? Although 5 minutes doesn’t sound like a lot, it slowly adds up. And before you know it, you could lose hours if not days over the course of your life!
So what time is it right now? The time we have is:
London UK (GMT)
Is it the same as the time you have? If not, which one is right? Think about how much time you may have lost.
